How to Measure for Panel Track Blinds
- Mounted within the window/door frame or in a wall-to-wall application
- For mounting depth requirements, refer to our “product details” tab for each product you are ordering
- If window frame is not deep enough, please order outside mount
- Step 1: Measure the inside width at 3 places: the top, middle and bottom. Round down to the nearest 1/8". Enter the smallest measurement on your worksheet. This is your ordering width. (Blindgalore takes necessary deductions.)
- Step 2: Measure the height at 3 places: left side, middle and right side. Round to the nearest 1/8". Enter the smallest measurement on your worksheet. This is your ordering height. (Blindsgalore will take a 1/2" deduction on height.)
- Step 3: Measure the depth at 3 places: left side, middle and right side. Mounting surface must be flat in order to attach headrail. Also, obstructions may cause measurements to vary so it is important to keep this in mind while measuring. Round down to the nearest 1/8”. Enter the shortest measurement on your worksheet. This is your ordering depth.
- Note: Panel tracks are ordered using the overall width of the area being covered, not using individual panel sizes.
- Mounted to the wall, molding around the window/door, or ceiling
- No minimum depth requirement
- Can be ordered so the panels stack completely off the window. Please call us for specific measuring help.
- Step 1: Measure the width of the area you want to cover. We recommend adding 8 - 12" to your measurement to offer more view/light when panels are open. Enter this width on your worksheet; it is your ordering width and the width of the blind (no deductions will be taken).
- Step 2: Measure the height of the area you want to cover. Round down to the nearest 1/8". We recommend subtracting 1/2" for ground clearance. This is your ordering height.
